The Davis Madrigals placed second in the fourth annual Leonardo DaVinci International Choral Festival, and Karen Gardias was awarded the Best Director. The choir toured the cities of Rome and Florence, and was invited to sing in the Sistine Chapel and during mass in St Peter's Basilica at the invitation of the Vatican. All throughout the tour, the choir performed at several cathedrals and churches, including the Basilica di Sant'Andrea della Valle.
